Kendrapara: Guided by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik’s 5T mantra, the Kendrapara district administration today launched the official mobile app of the district for better citizen centric governance.
The mobile app ‘MO Kendrapara’ has been officially unveiled by district Collector Samarth Verma at a function held at Collectorate Conference Hall here today afternoon in the presence of officials.
‘MO Kendrapara’ is an initiative of the district administration to serve people better and share information between government to citizen and citizen to government for transparency and accountability, said the Collector.
The mobile is very helpful to the people of Kendrapara for quick dissemination of information. It has all basic information about the district, such as tourist spots, festivals, accommodation, arts and culture, and upcoming events.
Thirteen online services of seven departments have been assembled under citizen services in the app.
The essential online services, like driving license, vehicle registration, birth and death certificates, and trade licenses have also been included in the app.
Besides, a unique advance next day leave statement for teachers, AWWs, doctors, clerks, etc is made available, so that anyone who is not in the authorized leave list and is absent on the day will be treated as unauthorized absent. So anyone in any village can download the list and find out whether the teacher in his school who is absent has taken due permission for doing so or not.
The app has also notification facility in order to update the people about urgent information.
The app can be downloaded from Play Store directly by anyone.
