Puri: Odisha 5T Secretary VK Pandian today reviewed the progress of various development works in Puri. He went to the Sri Setu Project site and took stock of the development work. He had an interaction with District Collector Samarth Verma, Sub-Collector Bhabatarana Sahu, senior government officials and the officials of Project Construction company. The Sri Setu Project entails an expenditure of Rs 161 crore. The 5T Secretary instructed the project officials to speed up the works for timely completion of the work.
Pandian also visited the modern parking project being undertaken in the Samanga Mouza. The state of the art parking place will have all modern facilities. Being built over an area of 43 acres, the Parking facility will handle 420 buses, 549 four wheelers, 258 autos, and 1054 two wheelers. The project is being implemented with an expenditure of Rs 67 crore.
Later, the 5T Secretary reviewed the progress of the Yatri Niwas at Baselisahi Police Station area which is spread on 10 acres of land. The modern low cost Dharmasala will have five blocks with accommodation capacity of 3700 persons. The tourists will have all the amenities at one place at an economical price. Pandian also visited the Heritage Corridor project site and held elaborate discussions on the progress of the works. He instructed the officials for early completion of the various works at the Parikrama Project.
