Bhubaneswar: The work on the transformation of the Maa Samaleswari Temple, one of the most revered deities in Odisha, is in full swing.
The redevelopment work of the famous shrine is being carried out under the State Government’s ambitious SAMALEI (Maa Samaleswari Temple Area Management and Local Economic Initiative) project.
The project, which has been taken up as part of the 5T initiatives, is expected to be completed by December this year.
Secretary to CM (5T) VK Pandian, who is personally overseeing the project since its inception, on Monday shared the latest picture of the Samaleswari Temple.
The before & after picture of the SAMALEI project makes a comparison of this famous place how it looked before the project kicked off and how it is looking now.
Under the project, the transformative improvement of Maa Samaleswari Temple is being carried out on the lines of the Jagannath Temple in Puri and the Lingaraj Temple in Bhubaneswar. The redevelopment includes beautification and peripheral development of the temple, heritage corridor, state-of-the-art amenities and the Mahanadi riverfront development.
Earlier in July, the 5T Secretary visited the famous shrine and reviewed the progress of the of the SAMALEI project.
During the review, the 5T Secretary had instructed the concerned officials to accelerate the project work for its timely completion.
