Puri: On the direction of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, Secretary to CM (5T) VK Pandian on Friday visited to the birthplace of Utkalmani Pandit Gopabandhu Das at Suando village in Satyabadi of Puri district.
During his visit, the 5T Secretary reviewed the progress of various ongoing development works at the legendary freedom fighter’s birthplace.
Puri Collector Samarth Verma and other district administration officials were present during the 5T Secretary’s visit.
The Odisha’s Government’s comprehensive development plan for Utkalmani’s birthplace is nearing completion. The ancestral house of Gopabandhu Das has been renovated and a memorial museum showcasing his life and times has set up at Suando, as per reports.
