78th Independence Day Celebrated at De Paul School, Berhampur with Patriotic Fervor

Berhampur: The 78th Independence Day was celebrated at De Paul School, Berhampur with much pomp and patriotic fervor.

Reverend Dr. Matthew Nayak C.M., the President of the school and chief guest of the event, hoisted the National Flag and addressed the august gathering, reflecting on the incredible journey that led to this day.

The dignitaries took the grand salute from the NCC cadets and the contingents of five houses – green, yellow, red, blue and maroon.

Various cultural programs such as patriotic song, dance and yoga performances enthralled the audience and spread a patriotic fervour in each and every heart.

Reverend father Ricardo Pradhan C.M., the Principal of the school, enlightened the enthusiastic audience about the freedom we enjoy today is the result of the determination and sacrifice of countless men and women who laid down their lives for our nation.

At the end Reverend father Joshua Epibemo Kikon C.M., the Vice-Principal of the school, announced the results of the march past .

The winners of the march past were : maroon house (first prize), blue house (second prize), and yellow house (third prize).
