New Delhi: The Airports Authority of India (AAI) has proposed the Centre to privatize six airports including Odisha’s Biju Patnaik Airport in Bhubaneswar.
As per media reports, the AAI recommended the privatization of airports at Amritsar, Varanasi, Bhubaneswar, Indore, Raipur and Trichy.
Earlier in February, the Centre had privatized six airports at Lucknow, Ahmedabad, Jaipur, Mangaluru, Thiruvananthapuram, and Guwahati for operation, management and development through public-private partnership (PPP) model.
In its board meeting on September 5, the AAI has decided to privatize six more airports – Amritsar, Varanasi, Bhubaneswar, Indore, Raipur and Trichy, according to news agency PTI report.
