Bhubaneswar: Ace swimmer Mannata Mishra has come up with her stellar performance yet again at the 2nd Odisha National Swimming Ranking Championship being held at the iconic Kalinga Stadium here.
After winning a Silver medal in 50m breaststroke on the first day of the major event, Mannata has clinched a Gold medal in 100m breaststroke in the Championship.
The promising athlete, who has been nurtured under the guidance of Odisha IIS Swimming HPC, has bagged the prestigious medal by finishing with a time of 1:14.71.
Mannata, who has represented Odisha at the major national events and won medals, had achieved a significant milestone in her sporting career in February this year by winning her first internal medal at the first BIMSTEC Aquatics Championships 2024 in New Delhi. She had won a Silver medal in women’s 200m Breaststroke event.
Top swimmers from across the country are taking part in the 2nd Odisha National Swimming Ranking Championship.
On the first day of the event, Odisha swimmers have bagged five medals. While Mannata Mishra got Silver in 50m breaststroke, Divyanka won Silver in 200m butterfly and Bronze in 50m breaststroke. Shristi Upadhaya clinched Gold in 200m butterfly and Pratyasa Ray received Silver in 200m freestyle.
