Bhubaneswar: Biju Janata Dal president and Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today urged the members of the BJD to act as agents of transformation and bring cheers and satisfaction in the lives of common man.
Addressing the party workers at the BJD’s Extended Executive Body Meeting here, Naveen said, “I expect you all to act as agents of transformation and bring cheers and satisfaction in the lives of common”.
“I want people to see integrity in our approach and actions”, the BJD supremo said.
He further said, “I am indebted to 4.5 crore people of Odisha for their blessings to the BJD, for which the party has been maintaining its winning streak and doing well in the elections”.
“People are the centre of all our activities. In order to fulfill their aspirations, we have adopted 5T mantra in governance”, the CM said.
Naveen also urged the party workers to propagate the ideologies and principles of Mahatma Gandhi.
“This year we are celebrating 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi. The Gandhian ideologies have relevance in today’s society”, he said.
Naveen also said that the BJD’s ‘Jeevan Bindu’ programme has gained immense popularity in the State and has turned into a social movement.
He urged the party workers to further expand the movement because blood donation is a noble work.
The BJD supremo further urged the party workers to actively participate in the membership drive, which will be kick-started from September 2 and will continue till Oct 31.
“I want you all to actively participate in the drive and involve the party workers at the grassroots level in it”, he said.
