Bhubaneswar: Indian multinational conglomerate Adani Group has proposed to set up two medical colleges in Odisha.
The private colleges will be established at Bhadrak and Rayagada in public-private partnership (PPP) mode.
It has submitted a proposal to the Health and Family Welfare Department.
The Adani Group said that it initiated preliminary work and survey to establish Medical College at Bhadrak and Rayagada and it is interested to establish Medical College on PPP mode at Bhadrak at the first instance.
“We are encouraged to note the intention of Odisha for the establishment of Medical College on PPP mode to upgrade medical care facilities at the district level for the benefit of the public at large as well as to increase medical seats in the state. We have initiated preliminary work and survey to establish Medical College at Bhadrak and Rayagada and are interested to establish Medical College on PPP mode at Bhadrak at the first instance,” as per the proposal.
This entire development will be done by Adani Foundation under Adani Group CSR activity based upon a mutually accepted MoU with the Odisha government, said Adani Group.
