Puri: The Airports Authority of India will send a team to Puri in connection with the proposed Airport in the temple town.
Speaking to mediapersons, MP Pinaki Mishra said “The AAI team will visit Puri next week. It’s the commitment of the Chief Minister and we are sure to have an international airport in puri.”
He said that the Chief Minister is committed to boost tourism in Puri and make it a world class city. This development comes after Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik wrote a letter to the Prime Minister on 1st January regarding setting up an International Airport in Puri.
Also, Union Minister of State for Civil Aviation Hardeep Singh Puri had also informed in Rajya Sabha that the Airports Authority has been asked for a feasibility study of the site identified by the Odisha Government.
