Bhubaneswar: The Ama Odisha Nabin Odisha programme on Friday reached all gram panchayats in the State.
The State Government’s ambitious programme was started from October 10 and ended on November 10, within a period of one month, the programme was completed in just 13 days.
Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik thanked everyone for completing the programme in record 13 days. Starting from Keonjhar, the programme was concluded in Jajpur amid excitement and joy. A total of 16.50 lakh people participated in the programme which was completed within a month.
5T and Nabin Odisha Chairman VK Pandian has thanked the people and their representatives and officials for the success of the programme.
With this, the drive to improve the infrastructure for building a new Odisha and a strong Odisha has reached all the districts, blocks, panchayats and villages of the State. The projects worth Rs 3397 crore are being implemented across the State.
Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today launched the programme in the districts of Koraput, Nuapada and Jajpur.
Under the programme, Rs 120 crore has been sanctioned for the five constituencies of Koraput district. The constituencies are Lakshmipur, Kotpad, Jeypore, Koraput and Pottangi.
The funds will be spent on 3087 projects in 240 panchayats of 14 blocks of these constituencies.
The Chief Minister has sanctioned Rs 65.50 crore for two constituencies of Nuapada district. These constituencies are Nuapada and Khariar. As many as 1765 projects will be undertaken in 131 gram panchayats of five blocks. Similarly, Rs 155.50 crore has been allocated for seven constituencies of Jajpur district. The constituencies are Jajpur, Binjharpur, Sukinda, Barachana, Bari, Dharmasal and Korei.
The funds will spent on 4109 projects in 311 gram panchayats of 10 blocks.
As part of the Ama Odisha Nabin Odisha, the basic foundation of Odisha’s culture will be improved by spreading Jagannath culture in every village, developing every place of worship, along with development of digital infrastructure. This will be the basic foundation for building an ambitious Odisha.
Speaking on this occasion, the Chief Minister said that the Ama Odisha Nabin Odisha is an innovative program. It is designed to lay the foundation for the development of modernity in the village. Our villages of Odisha are moving ahead with the Jagannath culture and keeping pace with the digital age, the CM said.
He said that the Ama Odisha Nabin Odisha is scripting a new history of development. He said that the integration of Jagannath culture with digital connectivity has paved the way for building a strong Odisha.
The CM said that the development of all villages is our goal. There will be guarantee of development for everyone in the village. Everyone in the village will be guaranteed education and health. Culture will be preserved and modernity will be developed in villages. The developed village will be the identity of modern Odisha, the CM added.
Odisha is the land of Lord Jagannath. Universal love, peace, goodwill, equality and service are the message of Jagannath culture. Irrespective of caste, religion, and community, it has made everyone its own. The Ama Odisha Nabin Odisha scheme will preserve Jagannath culture in every village. Every place of worship will be developed. Heritage sites will be preserved, the CM said while adding that the preservation and protection of the cultural and heritage sites is essential for future generations.
The development of digital infrastructure in villages is one of the objectives of this scheme. Internet connection will be available in the village. There will be science parks, skill development centres, work hubs, and banking facilities. The primary schools of the village will also be involved in this program. It will bring immense opportunities to our youth, mothers, farmers and students and will further enhance Odisha’s identity as a modern, strong, progressive and culturally aware state.
Participating in the programme, 5T and Nabin Odisha Chairman VK Pandian said that the transformation programme has created enthusiasm among the people.
The Chief Minister has sanctioned the projects according to the people’s wishes. No one is left out in the journey of development, the 5T Chairman said.
The Chief Minister’s dream to empower mothers has come true today. The mothers have become part of the journey of the Nabin Odisha by participating in large numbers, he added.
The 5T Chairman further said that this is the 5th term of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik. In this term, the Chief Minister has given five gifts to mothers. The gifts are Aahar @ Rs 5, LAccMI bus service @ Rs 5, Rs 5,000 financial assistance under Mamata Yojana, interest free loan up to Rs 5 lakh to mothers under Mission Shakti, and medical facility up to Rs.5 lakh for all under Biju Swasthya Kalyan Yojana and additional Rs.5 lakh for mothers, he added.
Today’s programme was attended by the MPs, MLAs, Zilla Parishad president, members, block chairman, sarpanches and people in the three districts.
