New Delhi: Amid the rising cases of Covid in some state including Kerala, the Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya has called for a review meeting of the State Health Ministers and Officials today. The meeting will review preparedness of health infrastructure in States. On Monday, the Center had issued an advisory to the states to monitor and keep surveillance as ovid-19 cases rose.
As the new variant of Covid-19 JN.1 continues to propel number of cases in many countries such as the US, Singapore and China, the Government has asked the states to stay prepared. The review meeting will also take up the availability of medical supplies such as medicines, oxygen, beds, ventilators, diagnostics services and ILI-SARI surveillance measures.
