Bhubaneswar: Another low pressure area is likely to be formed over Northwest Bay of Bengal around August 19, informed the Meteorological Centre Bhubaneswar on Monday.
Under the influence of the cyclonic circulation over Northwest Bay of Bengal & neighbourhood, a low pressure area is likely to be formed over Northwest Bay of Bengal off Odisha-¬West Bengal coasts, the Met Department said.
Several parts of Odisha are likely to witness heavy to very heavy rainfall due to impact of low pressure, it added.
Meanwhile, Odisha has received seasonal cumulative rainfall 840.1mm during the period between June 1 to August 15 against its normal value of 737.1mm.
