Bhubaneswar: In a boost to Odisha’s fight against coronavirus, two more COVID-19 patients recovered from the deadly diseases on Friday.
The two patients, both belonging to Bhubaneswar, have recovered and tested negative for the COVID-19. They are being discharged from the hospital, the Health and Family Welfare Department said.
With this, the number of active cases in Odisha came down to 38.
Of the total 60 COVID-19 positive cases confirmed so far, 21 had recovered and one had died earlier.
“As Odisha continues to contain Covid , another two patients, both belonging to Bhubaneswar, have recovered and tested negative for COVID-19. They are being discharged from the hospital. With these two cases, the total recoveries is 21”, the Odisha Health & Family Welfare Department said.
Meanwhile, Odisha under the leadership of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik continues to strengthen its fight against COVID-19.

As many as 24 COVID-19 hospitals have become functional in the State covering 21 districts including Gajapati, Ganjam, Jajpur, Keonjhar, Khurda, Puri, Cuttack, Sundargarh, Subarnapur, Bhadrak, Rayagada, Malkangiri, Dhenkanal, Boudh, Kendrapara, Balasore and Koraput.
