Bhubaneswar: Ace handball star Aryan Bramhin would be the first Odia to represent India in the Asian Handball Championship.
The rising handball star has been selected in the Indian team for the 9th Asian Men’s Youth Handball Championship 2022 to be held at Manama, Bahrain from August 20 to 31, informed the Department of Sports and Youth Services.
“Odisha’s rising handball star Aryan Bramhin has been selected in the Indian team for the 9th Asian Men’s Youth Handball Championship 2022 to be held at Manama, Bahrain from August 20 to 31”, the Department said.
Aryan would be the first Odia to represent India in the Asian Handball Championship, it added.

Bahrain is hosting the ninth Asian Men’s Youth (U19) Handball Championship from Saturday until August 31. Eleven of the continent’s top youth national handball teams are taking part.
The teams have been divided into two groups for the preliminary round.
India have been drawn in Group A alongside Iran, Bahrain, South Korea and Uzbekistan.
Group B features Japan, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, the UAE, Iraq and Kuwait.
