New Delhi: The death toll in the Assam floods rose to 11 after four more people were killed on Sunday.
As many as 26 lakh people in 28 of the State’s 33 districts have been affected by the floods.
The deaths were reported from Jorhat, Dhubri and Barpeta districts, taking the toll to 11 Assam, media reports stated.
Barpeta district is the worst hit with 7.35 lakh people affected, followed by Morigaon with 3.5 lakh people affected.
Meanwhile, the India Meteorological Department has forecast more rainfall in the State for the next 24 hours.
