Berhampur: An illegal bitumen mix plant has been sealed by the authorities at Baulajholi village in Kukudakhandi Tahasil in Ganjam District.
The illegal plant was being run for many years violating pollution norms.
According to reports, the plant was being run by one Balyaram Dalai, who is closely associated with Gopalpur MLA Pradeep Panigrahi. An enforcement team led by Kukudakhandi Tahasildar Kalyani Sanghamitra Devi, Sadar SDPO Sibasankar Mahapatra along with police and pollution board officials conducted raid and sealed the plant.
The action has been taken on the charges of running the plant in violation of various rules and causing environmental pollution.
