Puri: Amid chants of ‘Jai Jagannath’ and blowing of conches and beating of cymbals by lakhs of devotees, the chariots of Lord Jagannath and his divine siblings, Lord Balabhadra and Devi Subhadra reached Singhadwara, the Lion’s Gate of Srimandir marking the peaceful conclusion of the Bahuda Yatra this evening.
All rituals during the day also completed on time. After completing the nine day sojourn, the holy trinity returned to their abode Srimandir.
Lord Balabhadra’s chariot Taladhwaja reached Singhadwara first, followed by Darpadalana chariot of Devi Subhadra reached. At last, Lord Jagannath’s chariot Nandighosha reached Singhadwara.
The trinity however, will be on their respective chariots today. They will be attired with golden ornaments which is called ‘Suna Besha’.
Meanwhile, all preparations are being put in place for the ‘Sunabesha’ ritual.
The State Government, SJTA, Puri district administration, Police Department and other departments have made all preparations to ensure the smooth conduct of Bhauda Yatra.
Puri Collector Samarth Verma and SP Kanwar Vishal Singh thanked the sevayats, devotees and people of Puri for their cooperation to make the Bahuda Yatra successful.
