Bhubaneswar: The maximum day temperature in Balasore soared to hit 46 degrees Celsius on Tuesday.
Balasore broke the all-time heat record for the month of April. By 2.30 PM today, the temperature in Balasore was recorded at 46 degrees Celsius, as per the regional centre of the IMD.
It is the all-time record for highest day temperature in April. Earlier, on April 20, 2010, the temperature was recorded at 45 degrees Celsius.
The temperature has crossed 45 degrees Celsius for the first time this year in the capital. Bhubaneswar has recorded a day temperature of 45.4 degrees Celsius as of 2:30 PM today.
