Balasore Train Tragedy: Authorities Start Demolishing School Where Dead Bodies Were Kept

Balasore: The Balasore district administration has started the process of dismantling the Bahanaga High School that housed hundreds of dead bodies during the train accident tragedy. The demolition is being carried out in the presence of the Tahasildar and Police. Two JCBs have been involved in the process. As the High School was used to keep the dead bodies immediately after the tragedy, students were being reluctant to come to the classes. The School Committee authorities had demanded the administration to demolish the building. Yesterday, Collector Dattatraya Bhausaheb Shinde had visited the School that was used as a temporary morgue and had detailed discussions with the School Committee Members and assured them that appropriate steps will be taken.
