Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Secretary Pradeep Kumar Jena and other senior officers are closely monitoring the relief and rescue operations for the victims in the major train accident in Balasore district.
The Chief Secretary chaired a review meeting at the control room of office of Special Relief Commissioners.
Senior officials of various departments of the State Government were present in the meeting.
Earlier this morning, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik reached the site of the train accident to review the relief and rescue operations. The CM also visited the district headquarters hospital in Balasore to take stock of the medical treatment provided to the injured passengers.
The Chief Minister was accompanied by 5T Secretary VK Pandian and other senior officials.
