Bargarh: The Bargarh district administration has launched a unique programme ‘VIJETA’ on the occasion of 76th Independence Day on Monday to nurture inner talents of the students of transformed high schools under the 5T Initiatives of the State Government.
The innovative programme that aims at making the students aspirational and future ready was inaugurated by State Health and Family Welfare Minister Naba Kishore Das in the presence of Bargarh MLA Debesh Acharya, Bhatli MLA Susanta Singh, Attabira MLA Snehangini Chhuria and others.
The programme has been developed by District Education Office under the direct supervision of Bargarh Collector Monisha Banerjee. Piramal Foundation has extended technical support to the programme. In the first phase, as many as 90 schools have been covered under VIJETA and other schools will be covered gradually, the Collector said.
Under this ambitious programme, the students will get exposure to over 25 different activities over a period of seven months to enhance their skills. The students will also start doing community projects under Socially Useful Productive Work (SUPW) campaign. They will have opportunities to be skilled in collaboration, interpersonal skills and team spirit.
The ‘VIJETA’ programme aims at making the students ready to face their future after school. The district administration has also involved the alumnus, parents, community members and other social stakeholders to make the programme successful.
