Bhubaneswar: Odisha Vigilance on Monday arrested a revenue inspector in Bargarh district for allegedly taking bribe.
Dambarudhar Seth, Revenue Inspector Jamseth, Paikmal,Bargarh and Bibekananda Majhi, a private person were apprehended by Odisha Vigilance while taking bribe Rs.20,000 from a person for submission of enquiry report to Tahasildar, Paikmal in favour of his and his father in a land matter.
The entire bribe amount Rs.20,000 has been recovered from possession of accused Majhi (Private Person) and seized.
Following the trap, simultaneous searches are going on at two locations of Seth, RI from DA angle.
In this connection, a case has been registered by Sambalpur Vigilance. Investigation is in progress against both the accused persons. .
