Balasore: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Monday flagged off a Barishtha Nagarika Teertha Yatra train for the senior citizens in Balasore district.
The train carrying around 1000 senior citizens from five district of north Odisha and escort officers left Balasore station for pilgrimage trip to Haridwar and Rishikesh.
“It was an honor for district administration to host and see off 1000 beneficiaries of Barishtha Nagarika teertha yatra. Elders from five districts of North odisha will visit Haridwar and Rishikesh”, informed Balasore Collector Dattatraya Bhausaheb Shinde.
Earlier, the Chief Minister flagged off a similar train for the senior citizens in Sambalpur district for pilgrimage trip to Mathura and Vrindavan.
