Kolkata: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) President Sourav Ganguly has been admitted to a hospital in Kolkata after complaining of chest pain on Saturday.
The 48-year-old reportedly complained of uneasiness and chest pain while working out on Saturday morning.
According to multiple reports, he is stable though and should be able to stage a speedy recovery.
According to a tweet by journalist Boria Majumdar, Dr Saroj Mondal will perform the procedure at the Woodland hospital in Kolkata. His cardiac issue was diagnosed after admission and tests are being done.
Meanwhile, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee wished speedy recover to the BCCI president.
“ Sad to hear that @SGanguly99 suffered a mild cardiac arrest and has been admitted to hospital. Wishing him a speedy and full recovery. My thoughts and prayers are with him and his family!”, Mamata tweeted.
