Bhubaneswar: Odisha Vigilance on Monday apprehended an Amin of Bhubaneswar Development Authority (BDA) for allegedly taking bribe.
The Amin has been identified as Sarbeswar Mohanty.
Mohanty has been nabbed by the Vigilance officers while demanding and accepting bribe Rs. 20,000 from a complainant for furnishing a favorable report to facilitate the sale of his house which was approved by BDA. The entire bribe money has been recovered from Mohanty and seized.
Following the trap, simultaneous searches are going on at two locations of Mohanty from DA angle.
In this connection, Bhubaneswar Vigilance PS Case U/s-7PC (Amendment) Act, 2018 has been registered. The investigation is underway against the Amin.
