Berhampur: In a tragic incident, the Chairman of Bellaguntha Block in Ganjam district Prasant Kumar Nayak passed away on Thursday. He was 60.
Nayak breathed his last this evening while undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Bhubaneswar.
Nayak, one of the most popular BJD leaders in Bellaguntha Block, was widely known for his organizational skills. He had previously served as Chairman of the Block from 2002 to 2007.
A pal of gloom has descended in Bellaguntha block and other areas in Ganjam district following the demise of Nayak.
