Berhampur: In a bid to check noise pollution in the city, the band party groups in Berhampur have been asked to use sound limiter by July 10.
The Berhampur Police have asked the band party owners to abide by the rules of Odisha Fire Works and Loudspeakers Act.
A meeting was held in the office of SDPO Berhampur on Saturday in which the member of Berhampur band party association and Inspectors of Baidyanathpur, Gosaninuagaon, Berhampur Town and Badabazar PS participated.
It was decided in the meeting that all the band party owners will purchase ‘Sound Limiter’ and install the same in their system by July 10, the Berhampur Police said.
The IICs have been urged to use the sound level meter to check the level of sound of the band parties at the time of their display.
