Berhampur: Berhampur Police has conducted an awareness programme to sensitize the students on road and cyber safety.
The programme was held at Sasibhushan Rath Govt. Women’s (Autonomous) College where students were enlightened about various aspects of road and cyber safety.
Dysp Akshay Nayak and Inspector Avinash Reddy spoke about the need to follow traffic rules and how breaking rules leads to road traffic accidents.
The students were shown videos of common accidents in two wheelers and four wheelers caused by negligence and not following rules, such as wrong side driving , not wearing helmets , wearing helmet but not wearing so safety belt, triple riding and lane jumping.
Students were also sensitized about the safe ways of internet browsing, safety precautions to be followed in social media accounts. Students were taught not to reveal personal confidential details in social media accounts, informed Berhampur SP Dr. Saravana Vivek M.
