Berhampur: The Berhampur Police will take strong action against those who collect donation (chanda) forcefully for the ensuing Ganjesh puja celebrations.
Criminal case would be registered against any person who collects chanda and strict action would be taken against them, said Berhampur SP Dr. Saravana Vivek M.
The Berhampur Police will not tolerate anyone who collect chanda forcefully for puja celebrations. The public can report such forceful Chanda collection to police by calling 112, he added.
