Bhadrak And Balasore On Alert As Baitarini and Jalaka Breach Danger Level

Bhadrak: Government authorities in Bhadrak and Balasore are keeping a close eye on the situation in the districts as incessant rains continue in northern and coastal Odisha.

The Baitarani River has breached the danger level near Akhuapada and currently the water level stands at 17.88 meters against the danger level of 17.83 meter. Likewise, in Balasore, the Jalaka River has breached the danger mark near Mathani. The present water level is 6.25 meters whereas the danger mark is 5.50 meters.

People in low lying areas have been alerted and all precautionary measures have been taken to safeguard the vulnerable embankments.
