Berhampur: The Bhanjanagar NAC in Odisha’s Ganjam district is all set to observe the ‘Swayat Shasan Dibas’ (Local Self Governance Day) on August 31.
Preparations are in full swing to celebrate this significant day with much fanfare.
As part of the ‘Swayat Shasan Dibas’ celebrations, a friendly cricket match was held between the NAC body and NAC staff members on Sunday.
Bhanjanagar NAC Chairman Gopbandhu Mohapatra said that the basic purpose of the cricket match was to strengthen the bond among the people’s elected representatives and NAC staff members.
He further said that several programmes have been lined up for the ‘Swayat Shasan Dibas’ with an aim to ensure better services to the citizens of the NAC.
