Bhubaneswar: Odisha capital Bhubaneswar on Friday sizzled above temperature of 43 degrees Celsius.
As per the regional centre of the IMD, Bhubaneswar recorded the day temperature of 43.2 degrees Celsius by 2.30 pm today.
For the first time this season, the temperature has reached above 43 degrees in a city of the state.
By 11:30 am today, the temperature in Bhubaneswar was recorded at 39.8 degrees Celsius.
Meanwhile, the heat wave condition continues to prevail in various places of the State with Sambalpur recording 40.8°C, Hirakud 40.6°C, Chandbali: 40.6°C, Jharsuguda: 40.2°C, Rourkela: 39.6°C, Keonjhar: 39°C, Balasore 37.8°C, Puri: 33°C, Gopalpur: 32.2°C and Paradip: 32°C.
