Bhubaneswar: Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation Mayor Sulochana Das welcomed her Jagdalpur counterpart in an experience sharing meeting organised at BMC on Saturday.
The team from Jagdalpur ended up its tour to BMC area and shared its learning. “On we go” strategy of BMC has motivated many ULBs across the country.
Managing city sanitation and converting waste to wealth initiative in all wards of the city have been appreciated. A model for Faecal sludge treatment plant through its community managed ideology has set its pride .
The day today management of wealth centres and community contributions behind the initiative are the commendable aspects.
To have an exposure of the same team from Jagdalpur lead by Mayor Safira Sahu, Commissioner Dinesh Nag and other Officials visited wealth centers at Lingaraj Temple Road stn. and TTS Sainik School.
The eleven member team were briefed about the total process of source seggregation to preparation of Mo Khata .
City beautification, mahol of hockey fever, a sense hosting atmosphere in the city and festive mood among city dwellers were quite touching, told Mayor Jagdalpur. Community participation, source seggregation and collection of Electronic Waste and Domestic Hazardous Waste are quite organized, she added.
Close coordination of Corporation and administration wings are examplary and every ULB should adopt such practice of BMC appreciated team Jagdalpur.
