Sambalpur: The Income Tax Department officials along with the Bank personnel will continue to count the remaining cash that was found during the raids yesterday in connection with the Boudh Distilleries Private Limited and other associated companies. On the fifth day today, the IT officials will continue to search and investigate the offices of the companies. According to sources, the IT Department has completed the counting of cash at Sambalpur and have found Rs 37.5 Crore. At Bolangir, the officials have already counted 106 bags of cash totaling to Rs 140 Crore and today, the remaining 70 bags full of currency notes will be counted. Earlier, the IT Department had seized Rs 11 core from Titlagarh in this connection. The total cash seizures made in Odisha, Jharkhand, West Bengal and other places is likely to cross Rs 300 crores. The IT Department continued its raids on various places at Sambalpur and Bolangir related to Congress Rajya Sabha MP from Jharkhand Dhiraj Sahu for the fifth consecutive day yesterday.
