Bhubaneswar: A day after Civil Aviation Ministry announced to resume the domestic flights across the country in a calibrated manner from May 25 after a two-month long ban, the Biju Patnaik International Airport (BPIA), the largest airport in Odisha, is prepared to resume operation.
This has been informed by BPIA Director VV Rao here today.
Rao said that the airport was already prepared to resume flight services any time prior to May 25.
The airport has instructed its employees to be ready for the resumption, he said.
The BPIA Director further said that the guidelines issued by the Airport Authority of India (AAI) will be strictly followed at Bhubaneswar Airport.
The routes in which the flight services will resume will be known by this evening, he added.
Earlier on Wednesday, a special flight carrying Odisha natives stranded in Dubai arrived at Biju Patnaik International Airport, according to reports.
