Bhubaneswar: In a major development, Bikram Keshari Arukha has resigned from the post of Odisha Legislative Assembly Speaker on Friday.
Arukha has resigned citing his personal reasons. He has sent his resignation letter to the Deputy Speaker of the Assembly.
In a press briefing, the veteran BJD leader said that he has fulfilled his responsibility as the Speaker of the Assembly with determination.
He has thanked Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik for giving him the responsibility.
He further said that he will discharge every responsibility assigned to him by the Chief Minister.
