Bhubaneswar: Odisha’s ruling Biju Janata Dal on Tuesday announced the appointment of Observers for the ensuing by-election to Jharsuguda Assembly Constituency.
By the order of BJD President Naveen Patnaik, three leaders -Prasanna Acharya, Devi Prasad Mishra and Sarada Prashad Nayak have been appointed as party’s Observers for Jharsuguda by-election, informed BJD Organisation Secretary Pranab Prakash Das.
The BJD has nominated former Minister late Naba Kishore Das’s daughter Dipali Das as its candidate for the by-election, which is scheduled to be held on May 10 while the result will be declared on May 13.
