Bhanjanagar: On the direction of party supremo Naveen Patnaik, the Ganjam unit of ruling Biju Janata Dal held its extended executive meeting here on Wednesday.
Following the ideals and principles of Naveen Patnaik, the BJD leaders took pledge to work for the betterment of the people and all-round development of Ganjam district.
At the meeting, the senior BJD leaders urged the party workers to reach out to the people and resolve their problems.
The BJD members took pledge to work dedicatedly for further strengthening the party’s base in the district.
Presided over by Ganjam district committee president Ramesh Chandra Chyau Patnaik, the meeting has been conveyed to discuss extensively to discuss various organizational matters, including the membership drive.
The meeting was attended by senior Ganjam dist BJD observer Debi Prasad Mishra and dist observer Prafulla Mallick, Berhampur MP Chandra Sekhar Sahu, Aska MP Pramila Bisoyi, Kandhamal MP Achyuta Samanta, and BJD MLAs from Ganjam district – Bikram Keshari Arukha, Srikanta Sahu, Latika Pradhan, Suryamani Baidya, Subash Chandra Behera, Manjula Swain, Purna Chandra Swain and Bikram Kumar Panda.
The party executive members, Biju Yuva Janata Dal and Biju Chhatra Janata Dal leaders, Biju Mahila Janata Dal and leaders of other frontal organizations of Ganjam BJD also attended the meeting.
Officer on Special Duty (OSD) to CM Naveen Patnaik, Dr. Gopabandhu Dash was also present at the meeting.
