Bhubaneswar: The Biju Janata Dal Parliamentary Party meeting will be held today at the Naveen Niwas ahead of the Budget Session of the Parliament. The meeting will be chaired by Party President and Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik. The BJD members of Parliament will discuss the party’s strategy and agenda for the session. During the meeting, the party will discuss the issues that will be raised in both the houses of the Parliament.
The Biju Janata Dal has been continuously drawing the attention of the Central Government regarding the demand of Special State status to Odisha, provision of houses to the remaining beneficiaries of the state in the PMAY scheme, listing of 169 tribes as tribals, demand for special assistance for permanent resolution of the natural calamities and issues related to farmers and agriculture. Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik will advise the members on the various demands that need to be put forth before the Center on State Interest.
