Bhubaneswar: The Biju Janata Dal today sought action against senior Congress leader and Jeypore MLA Tara Prasad Bahinipati for allegedly violating the Model Code of Conduct (MCC) guidelines.
A BJD delegation apprised the State Election Commissioner that Bahinipati has violated the MCC guidelines by threatening government officials inside the Koraput Municipality.
The delegation alleged that the Congress leader had also threatened to break the Koraput Municipality office after two days if his work was not done.
The BJD demanded strict and immediate action against Bahinipati.
