Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister and Biju Janata Party President Naveen Patnaik on Friday made marathon campaigns in Sambalpur along with Dhenkanal, Angul and Rairakhol Assembly constituencies to further solidify his party’s poll prospects in the ensuing simultaneous elections.
Addressing public meetings, the Chief Minister appealed to the people to bless the party’s MP and MLA candidates from Sambalpur and Dhenkanal with massive votes.
Coming down heavily on the opposition, the Chief Minister said that their leaders are spreading lies and shedding crocodile tears.
The Chief Minister took the feedback of the people on the success of various welfare schemes, such as BSKY, Mission Shakti, Mamata, LAccMi Bus Service, 5T School Transformation, Scholarship Scheme, Madhubabu Pension Yojana, ration card etc. Are these schemes good, the CM asked? The answer from the crowd was ‘yes’. When he asked, Is Naveen Patnaik good? The meeting venue was echoed with ‘yes’.
The Chief Minister reiterated that there will be no more electricity bills from July. The Biju Janata Dal government will provide free electricity. Are you all happy? Then he said again, is Maa Samalei project work good? Is the Puri Parikrama project well? The people responded positively with great joy.
The Chief Minister announced that there will be a package for the kendu leaf workers.
Seeking support for his party, senior BJD leader Kartik Pandian said that the confidence of the opposition has been broken after seeing the huge gathering in the Chief Minister’s meeting. So their leaders coming from outside are disrespecting Naveen Babu, he said while urging the people to give them befitting reply.
Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik will make Odisha a number one with the support of the people of the State, Pandian said.
Naveen Patnaik will take oath as the Chief Minister again between 11.30 am to 1.00 pm on June 9. The first signature of the CM will be the waiver of electricity bill, which will benefit 90 percent of families. There will be no electricity bill from July. This is Naveen Babu’s guarantee, the BJD star campaigner said.
After hearing Naveen Babu’s announcement of free electricity, the BJP is saying that they will provide free electricity by installing solar panels. For this you have to spend 50 thousand rupees. The BJP is showing lanterns during the day, he added.
The second signature of the Chief Minister will cover all for the BSK Y cards. In the third signature, the Mission Shakti members will get pension after age of 60 years. These three are the Naveen Babu’s guarantee, he said.
