BJD Takes Swipe at BJP Govt on Teachers Recruitment Decision

Bhubaneswar: The Biju Janata Dal (BJD) took a swipe at the ruling BJP over the State Government’s teachers recruitment decision.

The State Cabinet chaired by Chief Minister Mohan Majhi has approved the proposal of School and Mass Education Department to recruit over 18,000 junior teachers in primary and upper primary schools.

Attacking the Majhi government over the move, BJD MLA Debi Ranjan Tripathy said that the BJP had voraciously opposed the appointment of schematic teachers by the previous government when it was in the opposition. Now the BJP is in government and is planning recruitment of schematic teachers, the BJD legislator said.

Before taking any decision, the government should make proper analysis, he added.

On the other hand, School and Mass Education Minister Nityananda Gond said that the recruitment of teachers will be done as per the order of the High Court. More teachers will be recruited in future, the Minister said.
