Bhubaneswar: The ruling BJP in Odisha has completely failed to keep the promises it made during the 2024 elections, said the Congress.
The first budget of the BJP government has miserly failed to reflect the party’s poll manifesto, the Congress said.
Senior Congress leader and MLA Tara Prasad Bahinipati said that this budget is not at all good in all fronts. Apart from changing names, there is nothing in the budget.
The BJP had promised to provide old age pension of Rs 3000 in their poll manifesto. In other states, the elders are getting pension of Rs 2500 to Rs 3500. The Mohan Majhi government has promised to give pension of Rs 3500 if the beneficiaries are above 80 years. The BJP government has completed failed to keep its promises in their poll manifesto, the senior Congress leader said.
He has strongly condemned the name of Ama Odisha Nabin Odisha scheme. The BJP government should have monitored the scheme for its proper implementation.
There is nothing for the tribals, minorities and SHGs in the budget, he said.
