Bhubaneswar: A blueprint has been prepared for the fourth phase of the 5T High School Transformation Programme, which has created great enthusiasm among students and parents.
So far in three phases, as many as 6883 government high schools have been transformed across the State. Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has directed to cover all 8654 government high schools under the programme by December this year.
In this context, Secretary to CM (5T) VK Pandian has held marathon discussions with the students, former students, headmasters, school managing committee members, Sarpanches and other stakeholders of 752 schools of 101 blocks of nine districts, such as Ganjam, Bargarh, Keonjhar, Cuttack, Mayurbhanj, Malkangiri, Puri, Gajapati and Dhenkanal for two days regarding the implementation of the fourth phase of the High School Transformation Programme.
During the discussion, the students were particularly involved. They shared their views regarding various needs.
Notably, the ambitious High School Transformation Programme was launched in 2021 from the Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik’s Hinjili constituency. In the three phases, 6883 schools have been transformed. As many as 1771 schools will be covered under the programme in the fourth phase of the programme.
The 5T school transformation programme has become a model for other states today and has played a vital role in enhancing interest of the students and parents in the government education institutions.
