Board Exams to Be Held Twice a Year: Union Education Min

New Delhi: The board exams will be held twice a year as per the new curriculum framework under the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, informed Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Wednesday.

The board exams will assess the understanding, and achievement of competencies rather than months of coaching and memorization. The students will be allowed to retain the best score.

The NCF as per National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 is ready and textbooks for the same will be developed for the 2024 academic session, the Union Minister said.

The Class 11 and 12 students will have to study two languages from now on and at least one language must be an Indian language.

The choices of subjects will not be restricted to streams, students will get flexibility to choose.
