Boudh: A former assistant engineer (retired) in Boudh district has been sentenced to three years imprisonment in a bribery case.
The retired engineer has been identified as Bhabagrahi Samantaray.
“Bhabagrahi Samantaray, Ex-Asst. Engineer (Retd), RWSS, Boudh, who was chargesheeted by Odisha Vigilance in Berhampur Vig PS Case No.03/2019 for taking bribe Rs.50,000, was convicted by the Court to 3 yrs jail & fine”, the Vigilance said.
Odisha Vigilance further said that it will now move the competent authority for stoppage of pension of the former engineer following his conviction.
