Boxing Day Test: India 36/1 at Stumps After Bowl Australia Out for 195

Melbourne: India scored 36/1 runs at the end of the first day of the of the 2nd Test in Melbourne on Saturday.

Shubman Gill (28*) who made his test debut today opened the innings with Mayank Agrawal. Mayank, however got out in first over itself.

Cheteshwar Pujara (7*) was batting with Gill at the time of the stumps.

Earlier, pacer Jasprit Bumrah (4/56) bagged a four-wicket haul while Raivichandran Ashwin (3/35) and debutant Mohammad Siraj (2/40) were also among wickets.

Marnus Labuschagne top-scored with 48 for Australia.

Bumrah had removed Australia opener Joe Burns for a duck after the host captain Tim Paine opted to bat first.

Australia was all out for 195 in the first innings of the traditional Boxing Day Test.
