Balangir: The BPCL LPG Bottling plant at Odisha’s Balangir district was dedicated to the nation by Governor Prof Ganeshi Lal today.
Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL), a Maharatna PSU under the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas, has set up thisnew LPG Bottling Plant at Village Barkani in Balangir district.
Union Petroleum Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, State Higher Education Minister Arun Sahoo, Bolangir MP Sangeeta Singh Deo, local MLA Narasingha Mishra and BPCL officials were present on the occasion.
Initially, the BPCL LPG plant was to be dedicated to the nation by Vice Preisent M. Venkiah Naidu. He had come upto Raipur but could not make it to Balangir due to bad weather conditions today.
In his audio message which was played, the Vice President complimented Bharat Petrolum for completing the state-of-the-art LPG plant at Balangir within record 19 months, three months ahead of schedule.
With the commissioning of the LPG Plant at Balangir, he said, people of the region would be supplied with hassle-free cylinders from now.
The plant, which has been constructed with an investment of Rs 103 crore, has the capacity to produce 42 lakh cylinders per year.
