Bhubaneswar: Odisha FC on Monday said that Brazilian striker Diego Mauricio has signed a new contract that keeps him at the club till 2025.
The Brazilian contributed 12 goals and 4 assists the past season clinching the Hero ISL Golden Boot.
Diego Mauricio previously joined Odisha FC in the 2020-21 season and cut to this year, he has quickly established himself as one of the top strikers in the league.
The 31-year-old has been a fan favorite at the club, and his performances have earned him praise from fans and experts alike. The contract extension is a significant boost for Odisha FC. The team finished sixth and qualified for their first-ever Hero ISL playoffs.
